Did you know your competitors can ruin your Facebook ads?
Let’s find out how they do it and how you can stop them.
Your competitors can copy your Meta Pixel and place it on spammy or irrelevant websites. This causes incorrect data to hit your Pixel. Your data gets confused, and Meta can’t accurately understand your customers’ activities. As a result, your ad campaign performance drops drastically.
What problems can occur?
- Ad optimization becomes impossible due to incorrect data.
- Meta fails to deliver ads to the right audience.
- Ad performance gets severely affected.
Solution:
You can protect yourself from this issue by using the Allow List in Meta Events Manager. This ensures your Pixel only tracks data from your approved websites, blocking competitors’ attacks.
How to set it up?
Scroll to Traffic Permissions and add your website and subdomains to the Allow List. This tells Meta to track data only from approved domains.
Go to the Events Manager in your Facebook Ad Account.
Navigate to Data Sources > Settings.
